Relationships are very weird – especially when you end them. I’ve dumped guys, and I’ve been dumped by guys, and while I used to process the entire emotion by engaging in a random hook up while I was younger, I also have my shear about things you should know about breakup sex
So, from my experience with breakups, here’s what I can say about the accompanying sex:
These days, we hear about breakup sex so much that it seems like a sure thing whenever you and a partner decide to al it quits in your relationship. It almost seems like the moment you both say you’re done, it’s time for you to get into bed and have one last go before you never see each other again.
Well, pump your brakes, because it’s not true. I’ve broken up more than once before, and I’ve only ever had breakup sex twice. So, I have experience in seeing it happen and experience in seeing it not happen as well.
This is why it might end up not happening; when you’re going through a breakup, you feel a barrage of emotions headed your way. The tension and flow of emotions are usually why breakup sex happens. However, there are times when one of you realizes that it might not be the best thing to do, so instead of hopping into bed, you both call it quits and go your separate ways. You could eventually go home and masturbate or choose to hook up with someone else. That’s your choice.
Just don’t count on breakup sex happening.
I know I shouldn’t particularly advocate for having sex with someone you’re about to break a relationship with, but the truth is that breakup sex can be amazing. Take it from someone who has had it before.
At the end of the day, you’ll most likely find that you should have just ended the relationship and left. However, when you’re in the moment, it really could be beautiful. In fact, it could even make you hot. The fact that it’s wrong and dangerous just makes things all the more arousing for you.
Relationships are very complicated.
A lot of people tend to have breakup sex because they just don’t want to go back into masturbating on their own or being alone. However, one of the problems with breakup sex is that it can end up tying you to a relationship that isn’t necessarily great for you.
No matter how determined you could be to never see someone again, sex has a way of making things more complicated. You start to feel closer to him, and when you remember his prowess in bed or the fact that you don’t want to go through the process of a hook up with someone new, you start to think about getting back together. For women who are stuck in terrible relationships, this is a bit of a problem.
